Who We Are

Good morning everyone we are jlnministries. We started our journey serving the Lord 16 years ago as we both knew we were destined to do ministry work.  I entered Liberty University School of Theology not knowing exactly where the Lord was leading. How many know? Or is it just me we change over time and God never changes. I soon found myself enrolled at Rhema Bible School. Our life Scripture  Joshua  24:15 "as for me and my house we will serve the Lord..." As I made my way through College knowing I was to preach but not when or where. I had always been a sports fan and at times participant. Rodeo has been a large part of my life from my youth and I gravitated towards sports in ministry. We partnered with a Bucking Bull company traveling the circuit, seen a lot and did a lot of ministry even in a goose neck trailer in a snow storm in Nocona, Tx.
We started going to NASCAR as fans until we found the church grounds one year and spent 11 years as Chaplains at every kind of event from backyard dirt tracks to Texas Motor Speedway. 5 years ago we stumbled by God onto Semipro Football.  The old saying, "Surround yourself with the right people." Well God has certainly surrounded us with excellence.  In 5 years we have achieved 5 National Titles in both Semipro and Arena Football. We have taken a approach of not trying to reach the lost by force but by servent hood. We call this "a God path." Along with this we have been thought by the best of Pastors how conduct God's work.  
Lena and I have 5 wonderful children and 6 grandchildren. 
We love travel and are strong supporters of Israel, Genesis 12:1-3 having visited 4 times. Our heart is to serve God.
We look forward to meeting you are sharing the great things God has done.

Stay away from anger and revenge. Keep envy far from you, for it only leads you into lies. Psalm 37:8 Passion Boy does this speak to me. He was at meltdown point. The talking was not enough it was only getting worse. All balance and lucidity flushed away; he yelled like a toddler,  screaming out loud. But it is to no avail. It only last for seconds. Obscenities,  fears, overreaction all burst forth with no logical reason. It is no fun when your brain becomes unbalanced or over loaded. We misplace our sensibilities,  and rational thinking goes out the window. This is where God has given us the Holy Spirit to be with us, and to aid us in self-control and patience. Amen

Receptive

“If you tenderly care for this little childx on my behalf, you are tenderly caring for me. And if you care for me, you are honoring my Father who sent me. The one who is least important in your eyes is actually the most important one of all.”  Luke 9:48 Passion Jesus was open to meeting with anyone. The poor, the oppressed,  the broken and turned away. But especially He was receptive to children. God restores, those who are responsive to His openness receive everything He promises.  When we realize our true place before a righteous and holy God, there is a longing to receive mercy and forgiveness. Only then can He become the high priestly sacrifice that we all need. Amen

Intimacy

For love is supreme and must flow through each of these virtues. Love become the mark of maturity.  Colossians 3:14 Passion  God is our healer. He wants us to be close to Him. His desire is that our hearts be closely familiar with His. His specialty is ultimate intimacy, He so loves us and knows our very beings. Amen
